Website Disclaimer

The information provided by Commonwealth Psychotherapy, PLLC ("Commonwealth Psychotherapy," "we," "us," or "our") on commonwealth-psychotherapy.com (the "Site") is provided for general informational and educational purposes only.

We make reasonable efforts to provide useful and accurate information. However, we make no representation or warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, or suitability of information presented on the Site.

Information on the Site may change without notice and may not reflect the most current research, professional standards, laws, regulations, licensing requirements, or individual circumstances.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Commonwealth Psychotherapy will not be responsible for losses or damages arising from your use of the Site or your reliance on information presented through it. Your use of the Site and reliance on its content are at your own risk.

Professional and Clinical Disclaimer

Content on this Site is provided for general informational and educational purposes. It is not intended to provide psychotherapy, clinical supervision, medical advice, mental health diagnosis, crisis intervention, or individualized treatment recommendations.

Julia Averna, LICSW, is a licensed mental health professional. Her professional credentials do not create a therapist-client, supervisor-supervisee, consultant, or other professional relationship with every person who visits this Site.

Information on the Site should not be used as a substitute for care, consultation, assessment, treatment, or supervision from a qualified professional who understands your individual circumstances.

Decisions concerning your mental health, treatment, professional practice, licensure, employment, or supervision requirements should be made in consultation with the appropriate licensed professionals, employers, educational programs, licensing boards, or other qualified authorities.

No Therapist-Client Relationship

Visiting the Site, reading its content, submitting a contact form, sending an email, leaving a voicemail, or participating in an introductory consultation does not create a therapist-client relationship.

A therapist-client relationship is established only after Commonwealth Psychotherapy and the prospective client have mutually agreed to begin services and all required intake, informed-consent, practice-policy, and clinical documents have been completed.

Submission of an inquiry does not guarantee that Commonwealth Psychotherapy will be available or clinically appropriate to provide services.

No Clinical Supervision Relationship

Information on this Site about clinical supervision is general in nature. Visiting the Site or participating in an introductory consultation does not create a formal supervision relationship.

A supervision relationship is established only after eligibility and fit have been reviewed, the arrangement has been accepted by both parties, and all required supervision agreements and documentation have been completed.

Commonwealth Psychotherapy does not guarantee that any supervision arrangement will qualify for academic, employment, credentialing, or licensure requirements. Prospective supervisees are responsible for confirming requirements with their school, employer, licensing board, and any other applicable organization.

No Guarantee of Results

Therapy and clinical supervision are individualized and collaborative processes. Outcomes depend on many factors, including the person’s circumstances, participation, needs, goals, professional setting, and factors outside the control of Commonwealth Psychotherapy.

Nothing on this Site should be interpreted as a promise, warranty, or guarantee of a particular clinical, personal, professional, licensing, or supervision outcome.

Emergency and Crisis Disclaimer

Commonwealth Psychotherapy does not provide emergency or crisis services through this Site, its contact form, email, voicemail, or other website communications. These communication methods are not monitored continuously.

Do not use this Site to report an emergency, an immediate safety concern, abuse requiring urgent intervention, or a situation requiring immediate clinical attention.

If you are experiencing an emergency or are concerned about your immediate safety, call 911, call or text the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988, or visit the nearest emergency department.

External Links Disclaimer

The Site may include links to websites, portals, scheduling tools, resources, articles, or services owned and operated by third parties. External links are provided for convenience or general informational purposes.

Commonwealth Psychotherapy does not own or control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, security, accessibility, policies, products, or services.

The inclusion of an external link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement, recommendation, sponsorship, or guarantee of the linked organization, information, product, or service.

Your use of a third-party website or service is governed by that provider’s terms, conditions, privacy practices, and policies. You should review those policies before providing information or completing a transaction.

Educational Resources Disclaimer

Articles, frequently asked questions, downloadable materials, social-media content, videos, and other educational resources provided by Commonwealth Psychotherapy are intended to offer general information.

These resources cannot account for each reader’s circumstances and should not be used to diagnose a condition, determine whether treatment is necessary, select a course of treatment, or make professional-practice decisions.

Testimonials Disclaimer

If the Site includes testimonials, reviews, endorsements, or descriptions of personal experiences, those statements reflect the experiences and opinions of the individuals who provided them.

Individual experiences vary. A testimonial does not guarantee or predict that another client, supervisee, or Site visitor will have the same or a similar experience.

Testimonials are not intended to represent that Commonwealth Psychotherapy’s services will produce a specific personal, clinical, professional, or licensing result.

Testimonials may be edited for spelling, grammar, length, or clarity without changing the substance of the individual’s statement. Any material relationship or compensation connected with an endorsement will be disclosed when required.

The opinions expressed in testimonials belong to the individuals who provided them and do not necessarily represent the views of Commonwealth Psychotherapy.

Jurisdiction and Service Availability

Commonwealth Psychotherapy provides services only where Julia Averna, LICSW, is legally authorized to practice and where the requested service is appropriate.

Individual therapy is available only to clients who are physically located in a jurisdiction where Julia Averna is authorized to provide therapy at the time of the session.

Information on this Site is not an offer to provide professional services in a jurisdiction where doing so would violate applicable licensing or professional requirements.
