CLINICAL CONSULTATION IN BOSTON AND ACROSS MASSACHUSETTS
A place to think carefully about
the work and your place in it.
I offer collaborative consultation services for newly licensed and early career therapists.
One of my favorite things about consulting with colleagues is discovering different, evidence-based ways of conceptualizing client interactions and choosing how to propel the work forward from there. It's exciting to consider how theory, clinical judgment, and the nuances of each relationship interact with the work. I also have experience creating curriculum for psychoeducational and process groups, and can support clinicians who facilitate group therapy to grow their skills in this area of practice.
Dedicated time for consulting on your cases can sharpen your ability to attune to client needs and pivot quickly when you need to adjust your treatment approach. I integrate a combination of professional goal-setting, client/therapist role-play, and focus on clinical formulation to bolster your use of theory in practice.
I CAN HELP WITH:
Clarifying your clinical style and approach
Strengthening your formulation skills
Recognizing and exploring your reactions to your clients
Strategizing how to manage demands like productivity & retention and take care of yourself in the process
Navigating imposter syndrome

TESTIMONIALS
Meeting with Julia for supervision allowed me to gain new perspectives and thoughtfully process my interactions with clients. She consistently pushed me to think critically about various encounters, allowing me to approach future interactions with greater confidence and self-assurance. Julia’s demeanor is both empowering and compassionate, fostering an environment where individuals feel supported while also being encouraged to grow and challenge themselves. I look back fondly on my time working with Julia and am incredibly grateful for the guidance, encouragement, and growth that came from our time together.
Sophie, BSW
As a seasoned therapist, having a trusted place for consultation has been invaluable. Julia has offered such valuable support on difficult cases, or cases I've felt stuck on, helping me avoid blind spots and offering feedback I've found genuinely useful. There's always more to learn and room to grow as a therapist, and Julia has been wonderful at helping me hone my skills. She's also been a great support on the days I've felt emotionally drained. I'd recommend her consulting to any clinician looking for that kind of grounded, supportive presence.
Aprill, LMHC

She has helped me navigate complex cases, develop thoughtful treatment plans, refine interventions, and trust my own clinical instincts. Her support has challenged me to grow while helping me stay grounded, and it has been invaluable to my development as a clinician. I truly value our supervisory relationship and feel fortunate to have had such a thoughtful, supportive, and empowering mentor throughout my training.
